TOCAME

TOCÁME is a contemporary flamenco performance about touch, feeling and greetings.

Two dancers look for the distance from each other and the desire to touch the other; with hands and arms, torsos meeting, feet communicating through rhythm. How do you touch each other? What does a touch feel like? Or how do you avoid being touched? What kind of sensation does it give when you greet each other with a hug or a hand or an elbow?

INSPIRO

Jessica Achten does not only dance modern or flamenco, it is precisely the combination of both that is what makes her strong
and unique dancer. In this performance she involves guitarist/composer Tijn van der Sanden,
percussionist Claudio Spieler and pianist/electronics Carlos Ema. These young makers have a broad and
innovative view on flamenco and hope to inspire many people with their performances.

TIERRADENTRO

Tierradentro (inside the earth), a place where tombs can be found under the earth, dating from 700 AD. A place that has been hidden from us for centuries. The earth has a lot of treasures and places that we don't know, that are still waiting to be discovered.

In this way every person has a side that is hidden and that (almost) no one gets to see. A side that is vulnerable and prefers to be kept hidden from others, secrets that others never get to know. Even if someone is such an open book, behind each person are hidden pages.

We look for sounds, feelings, movements and emotions that come from deep within ourselves in order to give the audience a look 'into the earth'. What is hidden behind a smile? What lies beneath the surface?

FLAME COLORES

FlamenColores. Our eye is treated daily to a rich mosaic of colours. These provide atmosphere and have a certain effect. We are unconsciously influenced by this. Everyone has an emotional color palette where music and dance mix their colors. Flamenco has a wide range of (sound) colors. The contrasts and diversity in this form the performance.
